Distribute supervisor professional development stipend payments

Eligible supervisor professional development stipends for 2024.1 have been processed and paid to your training site. 

Although stipends are paid to the training site, it’s expected that they will distribute the stipend in full to supervisors proportional to their involvement in supervisor professional development.

Has your practice had a recent change in circumstances? Reach out to your training coordinator to discuss es for 2024.2

A reminder to please reach out to your training coordinator if there have been changes to your practices':  

• name 
• ​address  
• ABN or ACN  
• bank account details  
• site ID  
• supervisors. 

These changes can affect your registrar's Medicare provider number (MPN), so they need to be shared with your training coordinator as soon as possible. Services Australia requires a minimum six week notice period to avoid impacting training while new MPNs are organised. 

Please note, all changes of ownership must also be shared with your training coordinator as they may have an impact on training site accreditation and these will need to be assessed.   

Important reminder - Medicare provider numbers

An important reminder to ensure your registrar has submitted their Medicare provider number (MPN) as soon as possible in preparation for 2024.2.

The due date to submit an MPN to guarantee it could be processed on time was Monday 3 June 2024. Registrars can still submit their MPN applications beyond this date but please be advised that this may cause delays to start their placement, as they cannot begin working at a training site until their MPN is allocated.  
 
Registrars must still submit an MPN application form if they are staying at the same training site in 2024.2. If you have questions about the MPN, please visit this page, or speak with your training coordinator.
