Registrar Clinical Encounters in Training – complete your 2024.2 online encounter forms

Registrar Clinical Encounters in Training (ReCEnT) is a core 2024.2 educational activity for the following regions:   

• NSW, ACT & Tasmania – all registrars   

• Victoria, SE QLD & SA – GPT1 & GPT2 registrars only.

Information generated by ReCEnT helps practice managers and supervisors understand the registrars’ experience and allows reflection on areas of practice they may need to change or improve. It helps registrars identify what patient exposure might be missing to help make informed decisions about future placements and learning opportunities, as well as targeting preparation for exams. 

Eligible registrars will receive an email from ReCEnT online with instructions to complete their encounter forms, and the due date. For further information on the ReCEnT project please visit our website.

The 2025.1 placement process will open in September. Mark these key dates in your calendar, and stay tuned for further information ahead of placements opening.

Submit your claim for placement incentives

Are you completing a 2024.1 placement in an incentivised location? Please submit your claims for reimbursement as soon as possible. Claims for the 2024.1 semester will only be processed if submitted by 31 August. Claim forms can be accessed via the TMS.

Complete your Medical Training Survey while renewing your Ahpra registration

The annual MTS is an opportunity to reflect on your medical training and provide feedback to support continuous improvement. It’s safe and confidential, with all survey data de-identified in reporting.  

Survey topics will include wellbeing, training program curriculum and access to teaching,  

Your feedback helps us to recognise and respond to potential issues in medical training that could impact patient safety, including environment and culture, unacceptable behaviours and poor supervision. 

How to complete the survey:  
When renewing your Ahpra registration, your survey link will appear in a pop-up box at the end of the registration process. Simply click ‘next’ to start the MTS. If you miss it, Ahpra will send the link in your registration confirmation email.
