There’s a proverb that says, “to truly understand someone, walk a mile in their shoes.” As a registrar, RLOs are often the first point of contact, and we’re here to support and guide you.
 
Regardless of your current term, please have your end of term assessment completed by your supervisor. For GPT2 registrars, please ensure your multi-source feedback self-reflection exercise is completed for review.
 
If you’re changing practices or pursuing extended skills in 2025.2, then this is a great time to ensure all onboarding documentation is complete.
 

As ancient philosophers would say, “change is the only constant.” It can be complex and challenging to navigate at times. Your RLO is here to help soften that transition period and provide illumination and guidance.

Tell us how we can improve the AGPT Program

The National Registrar Survey (NRS) is your opportunity to share your satisfaction and experience in the AGPT Program, as well as future career plans. The survey findings help the RACGP and the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing identify ways to improve the training program. 

Your feedback has a real impact. Last year’s survey results led to the government offering registrars paid parental leave and study leave incentives from 2026. 

Check your email for a personalised NRS survey link to be completed by 18 August.

Submit your incentive claims via the TMS

Eligible registrars in a 2025.2 incentivised placement can now claim incentives via the training management system (TMS).
 
The RACGP's new Flexible Funds policy outlines what you're able to claim, and further details can be found in the updated Incentivised placement guidelines for registrars.
 
Please make sure you enter or update your bank details in TMS under My Details before submitting a claim. A reminder that claims for the 2025.1 semester will only be processed if submitted by week four of 2025.2. Please reach out to your training coordinator if you have any questions.

Final call for multi-source feedback

As we wrap up last semester’s workplace-based assessments, please submit your completed multi- source feedback (MSF) before 17 August.

This applies to all GPT2 registrars enrolled in the MSF assessment. If you’re experiencing difficulties completing the MSF, please contact your training coordinator before the due date.

Enrolments open for 2025.2 CCE

Enrolments for the 2025.2 Clinical Competency Exam (CCE) are now open, closing on Tuesday 26 August. You can check your eligibility and enrol in the CCE by visiting our website. Please keep in mind that special arrangements must also be made by 26 August.

New RACGP assessment framework

We've published a new RACGP assessment framework, setting out the principles that guide our assessments.

Designed as a companion to the Educational framework, it complements our curriculum, capability profile, policies and training standards.

This publicly available framework offers consistency and a shared reference point for anyone involved in RACGP assessments.

Help shape our next curriculum and syllabus

The RACGP curriculum and syllabus  team is starting its review-cycle to inform the development of our seventh edition.

We’re seeking feedback about the current version and suggestions for the next edition.  If you would like to contribute, please complete a 5-10 minute survey before 11 August.

2026.1 and 2026.2 placement process dates

Mark these key dates in your calendar, they’re part of the RACGP placement process, which is built to give both registrars and training sites greater transparency, flexibility and choice.
 
We’ve also made some changes to the placement process in response to survey feedback from 2300 supervisors, practice managers and registrars. Find out more about the improvements we’re making here.
