Practice Owners Conference

Will you be in Cairns on Saturday and Sunday, 25-26 May? So will our Practice Owners Conference!

With the pre-conference workshops running on Friday 24 May and the official conference on Saturday and Sunday, it's a weekend not to miss.

Registrations opened this week, so please encourage friends, colleagues, and members to get in early and secure their spot.

Wondering what the weekend holds in store? Here's some highlights:

Practice manager information sessions

We have recently held information sessions targeted at practices with new FSP registrars in 2024. We're keen to understand if there is interest for further sessions. Please express your interest to FSPOperations@racgp.org.au providing your preference for day and time and what topics you'd like further information on.

Upcoming Registrar activities

We're in the final stages of coordinating large group learning opportunities via Zoom for FSP registrars.

These activities will have a Cultural Education focus and involve multiple short delivery sessions covering fundamental topics in this education area including:

Cultural Safety Principles
Social Determinants of Health

Cultural Safety and understanding is a vital part of your registrar's learning experience and will ensure they are well versed in this topic, which will better prepare them for the RACGP Fellowship exams.

Dates and times will be finalised soon and registrars will be contacted via email with further details. Your registrar may ask to attend so please be considerate of this.

Submit an EOI for the AGPT Program

The RACGP is seeking to accredited a limited number of new training sites, and supervisors, in identified areas of workforce need for the Australian General Practice Training (AGPT) Program.

AGPT is the most common training pathway for doctors seeking to specialise as a general practitioner (GP) in Australia. It is, however, a completely different training pathway to the FSP.
