Supervision requirements and registrar training activities for 2025.1

We've developed a summary of supervision requirements, registrar training activities, timelines and helpful resources for the upcoming semester. Specific requirements for each training stage are outlined for easy reference.    

To access the documents, log in to the training management system and click on Quick Links and Subscriptions on the top toolbar. The 2025.1 registrar training activities can be viewed by selecting Registrar Training Requirements from the drop-down list. The 2025.1 supervision requirements can be viewed by selecting Supervisor Requirements (see image below).

Acknowledging the past. Healing the future

The RACGP is the first to curate, consult and collaborate across the nation on a truly accessible framework to embed Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander values and ways of knowing, being and doing across its education and training program. 

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural and Health Training Framework gives context and critical steps needed in general practice training to transform the way we approach cultural safety and workforce parity.  

We're looking forward to seeing how our training teams implement and engage with the Framework's recommendations and guidelines in 2025 and beyond.

Workplace-based assessment update

A friendly reminder to complete this semester’s supervisor-led workplace-based assessments. All full-time GPT 1, 2 and 3 registrars will need to complete two mini-clinical evaluation exercises (mini-CEXs) and two random case analysis (RCAs). 

Supervisors, please also note that the supervisor mini-CEX and RCA requirements for next semester (2025.1) have been created in each registrar’s TMS requirements (once their 2025.1 placement is confirmed). For now, please disregard these until next year and check that you’ve selected the 2024.2 assessment.
