We found a rhythm on the walk and I've since learned this is a type of mindfulness. Not surprisingly, after the environmental therapy, exercise and mindfulness we returned for the afternoon enthusiastic for the next patient.
We have tried a host of training methods over the years; games, videos, reflections, role plays and questioners, but none have been more productive or as enjoyable than the walk and talk. I can't believe it took me 30 years to discover it!
