SLO message

The development of the Supervisor Liaison Officer Advisory Committee (SLOAC) has been one of the great College initiatives over the past two years. It was a privilege in 2024 to meet with the CEOs and Presidents of both the RACGP and ACRRM to raise issues of concern for GP supervisors and be listened to. 

I encourage all supervisors to engage with their Supervisor Liaison Officer (SLO) to discuss any issues, ideas or suggestions, as this is the best way to facilitate positive change in our training program. SLOs are the heart and soul of GP training, and through the SLOAC have a strong voice that is heard.

2025.2 placement process open

The RACGP placement process for 2025.2 has begun, with the training site capacity update now open in the training management system (TMS) until 17 March. 

The information provided in this update is vital for us to understand training vacancies for 2025.2 and help us equitably distribute registrars for placements across Australia. This is also a great opportunity to update your practice profile and ensure your contact details are up to date. 

Please take note of the placement process key dates and mark them in your calendar.
