Government seeks GP views on UCC program
Do you have an opinion about urgent care centres? The Federal Health Department wants to hear your feedback.
The evaluation will take in the views of local GPs from diverse jurisdictions and geographical locations.
GPs are being called on to provide feedback on the impact of urgent care clinics (UCC) on their local health systems, as part of a Federal Government review.
The Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (DoHDA) has engaged research firm Nous Group to evaluate the UCC program against nine ‘measures of success’ agreed by the federal, state and territory governments.
As part of its final report, extensive perspectives will be sought from local GPs, with the government seeking expressions of interest from those who would like to participate in a reimbursed ($75 per half hour) feedback session.
The evaluation team will hold up to three feedback sessions to accommodate a range of schedules, and following the expression of interest process, a selection of GPs from different jurisdictions and geographic settings will be invited to participate in the sessions:
- Thursday 10 September, 8.00 – 9.00 am (AEST)
- Tuesday 15 September, 5.00 – 6.00 pm (AEST)
- Wednesday 16 September, 5.00 – 6.00 pm (AEST)
