GPs have just days left to share their advice, feedback and ideas in the 2025 RACGP Member Engagement Survey, with results from previous years leading to tangible change.

Members in the early stages of general practice, those well-established in their career, and all GPs in between are urged to have their say in the annual survey, which closes on Friday.

The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete, with participants having the chance to win full registration to GP26 or complimentary RACGP membership for one year.

The RACGP has already acted upon several insights from last year’s survey, including keeping up pressure on governments about fair remuneration, scope of practice and workforce issues.

The 2024 survey also found that belonging to a connected community is vital, with the RACGP going onto increase opportunities for GPs to connect nationally and locally.

The future GP workforce also emerged as a priority for members, leading the RACGP to take those concerns to decision-makers and resulting in more benefits and incentives for GPs in training

RACGP President Dr Michael Wright told newsGP that past surveys have had a significant influence on the direction of the college, especially as its membership grows.

‘Members are the heart of the RACGP – I encourage GPs to take part in this year’s Member Engagement Survey so that your college truly reflects your needs and challenges at this critical time for our profession.’ he said.

‘Your feedback shapes the direction of the RACGP, and by completing the survey, you are helping us strengthen general practice and ensure your college is advocating where it matters most.

‘This survey is one of the most important opportunities we have to listen, and your participation is essential in helping us understand what matters most to GPs across Australia.’

All members will have received a personalised link via email, but the survey can also be completed online.
