Members are invited to share insights of working with Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners.

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander Health Worker
The RACGP is seeking member insights on what working alongside Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners looks like in their practice.

This week’s In Practice also includes expressions of interest opening soon for the RACGP Education Research Grant program and Mentoring Program.

A call for voices: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health
The RACGP Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health faculty is inviting college members to share their experiences working alongside Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners in primary healthcare.

These stories will help showcase the important role this workforce plays in supporting culturally safe care and improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

The faculty is seeking short reflections rather than formal reports, including:

  • what working alongside Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers and Health Practitioners looks like in your practice
  • how this workforce supports your team and patient care
  • positive experiences, insights or lessons learned from working together.
Testimonials may be featured in future RACGP communications, presentations or publications, with permission. Experiences can be shared via an online form before Sunday 5 April.
