Notice of the 68th RACGP Annual General Meeting
Eligible members will have the opportunity to vote on the future direction of the college at the 2025 RACGP Annual General Meeting (AGM) next month.

The 68th AGM will be held on Thursday 13 November 2025 from 5.00 pm (AEST) at the GP25 conference at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and via a Zoom webinar.

Voting opens Monday 3 November – to register to attend, submit a question for the Board of Directors, or view the Notice of AGM in full, visit the RACGP website.

GP25: Early bird registrations closing soon
With only a few weeks left until GP25, early bird registrations close on Monday 27 October – visit the conference website to secure a spot.

Alongside inspiring keynotes and hands-on pre-conference workshops, attendees will hear from experts on topics including ADHD, environment and sustainability, the Red Book, GP wellbeing, health equity and health literacy, workforce, women’s health, and generational care. The full program is available online.

Attendees can also register for the conference dinner and awards ceremony where they can enjoy a three-course dinner and watch the RACGP Awards presentation.

Seeking EOIs for Health Technology Advisory committee vacancies
EOIs for HTA committee membership are now open.

The purpose of the HTA EOI is to form a merit pool of qualified candidates across a range of specialities from which the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing (DoHDA) can nominate for future vacant committee positions.

The EOI is a broad advertisement for individuals interested in future vacancies on:

  • the Pharmaceutical Benefits Advisory Committee and sub-committees
  • the Medical Services Advisory Committee and sub-committees
  • the Medical Devices and Human Tissue Advisory Committee (specific roles)
  • expert clinical advisory groups
  • consumer and industry roles on any committee.
Candidates are requested to submit a 700-word EOI and online application for consideration for inclusion on the 2026 merit pool.

Appointments to HTA committees are a decision for the Federal Government, with this EOI process replacing the current merit pool that the DoHDA uses to fill vacancies.

EOIs are due on Monday 15 December 2025, 11.30 pm (AEST). For more information, see the applicant pack or contact HTA.EOI@health.gov.au.

RACGP Convocation: Vote for your favourite member proposal
Member voting is open for RACGP Convocation until Monday 10 November. Have your say by voting for the shortlisted proposal you would most like to see enacted by the RACGP:

  • Mental health crisis summit
  • AI implementation to streamline and enhance trainee and member experience
  • College-led advertising campaign direct to the public to reinforce the value of seeing a GP
The three shortlisted proposals will be presented in person, and the winner announced, at the Convocation event on Thursday 13 November, ahead of GP25. Vote online.
