The RACGP welcomes applications from researchers and collaborative teams committed to strengthening general practice education and training in Australia.

Those wanting to learn more about the 2027 research priorities and the application process can register for the ERG information webinar on 14 April. For further details, please contact gpedresearch@racgp.org.au

EOIs: AHPRA Organisational Review Group
Applications are being sought for appointment to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Organisational Review Group – Incidents of distress.

The group’s core purpose is to lead the high-level organisational review of incidents relating to suicide, monitoring and identifying improvements in AHPRA’s systems and processes which may contribute to minimising practitioner and notifier distress in the future.

The group is seeking applications from registered practitioners with lived experience of AHPRA’s regulatory processes, and patients or patient advocates.

Closing on 3 May, applications will be assessed by a selection advisory panel, and the appointments will be for a three-year term, with eligibility for reappointment. More information is available here

Health of the Nation survey
The Health of the Nation 2026 survey is now open. GP insights drive change in general practice, with survey responses shaping the annual Health of the Nation report. Supporting veterans’ access to care
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) is monitoring fuel security conditions and reminds healthcare providers of options to support veterans’ access to care. If a veteran patient raises concerns about travel costs, GPs and other healthcare providers can support continuity of care by considering DVA-funded transport arrangements. DVA Provider News has recently published information on supporting veterans’ access to treatment
