An opportunity to tell the RACGP how it can better support members, the annual survey is open for one more week.

Completing the RACGP Member Engagement Survey enters participants into a draw to win full registration to GP26 or membership fees for one year.

This week’s In Practice also includes upcoming sessions from AHPRA on support services available to practitioners, and updated clinical standards for childhood-onset heart disease.

One week left to complete the RACGP Member Engagement Survey
RACGP members are reminded to have their say on what matters most before Friday 28 November. The member feedback received drives action, helping the college deliver the advocacy, resources and support they need.

All members will have received a personalised link via email, but the survey can also be completed online. It takes around 15–20 minutes to complete, and participants will go in the draw to win full registration to GP26 or their RACGP membership fees for one year.

  • a brief overview of AHPRA’s processes including statistics and typical outcomes

AHPRA requests that questions avoid sharing information that could identify a notification or person. All cameras and microphones will be turned off.

Standards for childhood-onset heart disease
Webinar: Monday 1 December, 7.30 – 8.30 pm (AEDT)
CPD: 1 EA hour

This webinar will discuss the updated Australian national standards of care for childhood-onset heart disease – a landmark framework developed to ensure every child and adolescent living with heart disease from childhood receives consistent, high-quality, and lifelong care.

Children living with childhood-onset heart disease rely on their GP as a central point of care throughout their lives. To support GPs in this role, the updated care standards provide evidence-based guidance for this growing patient group.

DVA Provider News update
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) has released a new guide to help GPs and other primary care providers understand what supports are available for veteran patients with cognitive concerns.

The guide provides eligibility information for the investigation and treatment of cognitive concerns in veterans, and DVA funding arrangements. More information is available on the DVA website
