Presented by RACGP Specific Interests in partnership with Emerging Minds, this third webinar in the series will explore how collaborative goal setting can transform how families navigate ADHD and other developmental or behavioural concerns.
 
This webinar will highlight practical strategies for supporting families to identify priorities, build confidence and strengthen their capacity to manage challenges. Panellists will discuss how GPs can use collaborative goal setting to empower families, while linking them to relevant resources and service pathways.

Academic Post Program applications
Fo those registrars who are interested in conducting research or medical education alongside their clinical training, the AGPT Academic Post Program offers a funded, 12-month part-time opportunity – no prior research experience required.
 
Specialised posts are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander registrars, those enrolled in a PhD, and registrars interested in medical editing and publishing.

GPADD Conference
Registrations are open for the 2026 General Practice in Addiction (GPADD) Conference, 28–29 August in Melbourne.
 
Alcohol and other drug (AOD) issues are firmly on the radar of general practice, with 72% of newsGP poll respondents reporting they encounter them daily or weekly in routine consultations. The results underscore the central role GPs play in identifying, managing and supporting patients affected by AOD use. 
 
The full program is now available, featuring practical workshops and expert speakers on AOD in general practice. Early bird tickets are available until 19 July.
 
NACCHO workshop coming to Brisbane
On 26 June, an interactive workshop will explore key chapters of the National guide to preventive healthcare for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, with insights from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health leaders and clinicians.
