Prescript Recruitment is currently seeking experienced GPs for a range of Aboriginal Medical Service locum opportunities across New South Wales and Queensland.
These roles offer the opportunity to provide meaningful, community-focused care in well-supported Aboriginal health settings, with placements available across regional towns, coastal communities and remote locations.
Current locations include:
- Coonabarabran
- Batemans Bay
- Narooma
- Bega
- Broken Hill
- Mount Isa
- Doomadgee
Dates are available from July 2026 through to January 2027, with short and longer blocks available depending on location.
Daily rates range from $1,500 to $2,300 per day, with premium holiday rates available for selected Queensland placements between 15 November 2026 and 15 January 2027.

These roles would suit GPs with experience or a genuine interest in Aboriginal health, rural medicine, remote medicine, or community-based primary care. Previous AMS experience will be highly regarded, but doctors with strong general practice experience and a commitment to culturally safe care are also encouraged to enquire.

- Current AHPRA registration
