Breast Physician (GP with Interest in Breast Health)

Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic | Toowoomba $180/hour + super | 12-month contract with view to extension

Darling Downs Diagnostic Breast Clinic (DDDBC) is seeking a GP with an interest in breast health to join a new, purpose-designed diagnostic service in Toowoomba. This is an opportunity to step into a high-quality, integrated model of care, working within a streamlined system designed for women presenting with breast symptoms.

You will work closely with Darling Downs Surgical Oncology (DDSO), led by Dr Peter O’Donohue (Full Member BreastSurgANZ), within a co-located, one-site environment.  

The Role

You will act as the first clinical point of contact, providing:

  • Comprehensive breast assessment (history and examination)
  • Coordination of imaging and biopsy
  • Clinical interpretation and management planning
  • Clear communication of findings and next steps
  • Direct referral to subspecialist surgical care onsite

Remuneration & Structure

  • $180 per hour + superannuation
  • Part-time (1–2 days per week)

At 12 months: Review to transition to billings-based model or continuation of salaried role
