Lavarack Health Centre.

Located in Townsville at Lavarack Barracks, the largest army base in Australia.  The facility provides primary medical, underwater medical, surgical outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmaceutical services to approximately 8000 members.  It also operates a 24/7 patient low dependency ward. Standard operating hours are 07:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday and a half day on Friday.

Role requirements:

  • Deliver high quality care to Defence members
  • Occupational medicine environment, conducting fitness for duty assessments, pre|post deployment care, injury management, chronic disease management and preventative healthcare.

What you bring:

  • AHPRA registration
  • FRACGP, FACRRM or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years full time equivalent GP experience within the last 5 years (GPT counts)
  • Australian citizenship - for baseline clearance
  • CPR certificate (HLTAID009) or willing to do it.
