Cerberus Health Centre

Located at HMAS Cerberus in Western Point.  The base supports approx 4 000 personnel and is the Navy's primary training facility for new recruits, training around 6 000 personnel annually with up to an average of 800 trainees on board at any one time.  The health centre provides primary care including medical, outpatient, dental, nursing, physiotherapy, mental health and pharmacy services.  It includes a 30 bed low dependency ward operating 24/7.  Standard operating hours are generally 7:30 - 15:30 Monday to Friday.  Weekday & Weekend on-call shifts equally shared.

What you'll do

  • Deliver high quality care to Defence members working within an MDT setting 
  • Occupational medicine environment, conducting fitness for duty assessments, pre/post deployment care, injury management, chronic disease management and preventative healthcare

What you bring

  • AHPRA registration - unrestricted as a General Practitioner (FRACGP/FACRRM/FRACGP-RG or VR)
  • Minimum 2 years' full time equivalent GP experience within the last 5 years (GPT counts)
  • CPR Certificate (HLTAID009) - within last 12 months 
  • Australian Citizenship - for Baseline Security Clearance
