2027 Registrar - Emergency Department
ACEM, ACRRM and RACGP Trainees and Non-Trainee applicants who love Emergency Medicine are encouraged to apply.
- 43-bed Emergency Department ~45,000 presentations annually
- Major referral centre for Northern Tasmania
- Diverse caseload, trauma, paediatrics, mental health & complex medical presentations
- Strong inpatient support, 24 hour cath lab, ICU, ECMO capability
- Direct consultant supervision 8:00am–midnight, 7 days per week
As an Emergency Registrar you will:
- Deliver high-quality emergency care
- Get involved in critical decision-making in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
- Mentor & support junior doctors & medical students
Details of appointment:
- Fixed term full-time or part-time position, 1 & 2 year contracts available
- Up to 76 hours per fortnight plus 10 hours (pro rata) paid education time
- Commencing from 1 February 2027 to 6 February 2028
- Earlier start dates may be available for successful candidates
Salary
Medical Practitioner Level 5 - 11 $138,978 - $194,675 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging
- Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2025
In addition, the following allowances & benefit, calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available
