About us:
The Warragul UCC, (supporting West
Gippsland Healthcare Group Emergency Department), treats urgent care cases,
leaving emergencies for the hospital emergency department.
Since opening in January 2023, we
have been able to take the burden off our local emergency department by seeing approximately 35,509 patients.
We operate 7 days a week, Monday to
Sunday 8am – 10pm including all public holidays.
About the role:
We are seeking General Practitioners to assist in filling regular short
term, temporary and often short-notice shifts within our urgent care team.
We have opportunities
for casual and permanent shifts (7 hour shifts) with great rates offered for fellowed GPs:
· Mon to Fri
- 8am to 6pm - $200 per hour
· Mon to Fri
- after 6pm - $300 per hour
· Sat, Sun
& Public Holidays - $300 per hour
Supported by a team of highly skilled doctors and nurses, you will be
responsible for providing urgent clinical care to a wide range of patients that
require urgent attention, but not an emergency response.
As an
urgent care doctor, you will:
· Provide
urgent clinical care to patients with non-life threatening conditions and
illnesses, such as fractures, infections, lacerations, etc.
· Work
collaboratively with a team of experienced doctors and nurses to ensure
high-quality patient outcomes.
· Use your
clinical judgement and skills to triage and manage patients effectively.
To be successful in this role, you
will need:
· Vocational
registration (FRACGP | FACRRM or equivalent).
· AHPRA
Registration.
· Emergency
patient assessment experience.
