Join a growing digital clinic at the forefront of microbiome-based medicine. This role offers the rare opportunity to learn directly from Dr Paul Froomes, a gastroenterologist with 25+ years of experience, and to develop advanced skills in treating gut, vaginal, oral and systemic microbiome-related conditions. Flexible hours are available, with the option to begin at one day per week and scale up as the clinic expands. The Microbiome Clinic has been operating for 2 months with great success is expanding nationally and seeking a GP interested in modern, root-cause, microbiome-focused healthcare. You will gain competency in interpreting microbiome test results and applying targeted, evidence-based treatment protocols.
The position begins with low weekly hours (~one day per week, but this is flexible) and increases as patient demand grows.You will manage a wide range of conditions influenced by the microbiome imbalance, including:
🦠 Functional gut disorders: IBS-C, IBS-D, mixed IBS
🔥Inflammatory bowel disease: Crohn’s, Ulcerative Colitis
💨SIBO and methane/hydrogen overgrowth
🧬 Parasites, Candida and fungal dysbiosis
🌱Vaginal conditions: recurrent BV, UTIs, thrush
🦷 Oral microbiome issues: reflux, halitosis, periodontal imbalance and neurodegenerative links
Our model follows a Test → Repair → Maintain pathway using specialist-formulated protocols. You will access comprehensive clinical materials, established pathways and a strong research base supporting the microbiome’s role in gut, immune, metabolic and systemic health. The Microbiome Clinic operates entirely online, making specialised care accessible across Australia. You will help deliver high-quality patient care while contributing to national and future international growth.
