About the role
Our Local Mental Health and Wellbeing Service provides free, community-based support for adults in Melbourne's west. The GP focuses on short-term mental health, AOD, and physical care within an integrated team, providing coordinated support and connecting clients with community services.
Your duties include:
Provide comprehensive assessment and brief mental health/AOD interventions.
Prescribe, review, and monitor medications using shared decision-making.
Assess and manage physical health needs impacting mental health.
Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and case reviews.

Our ideal candidate:
Fellowship of RACGP (or equivalent vocational registration) and current unrestricted AHPRA registration.
Accredited to prescribe Opioid Agonist Treatment (OAT) and pharmacotherapy.
Experience or strong interest in addiction medicine.
