The General Practitioner will, as
a member of a multidisciplinary team, provide holistic best practice medical
care and advice to clients, The Practitioner is responsible for the provision
of best practice, evidence based work in collaboration with Radiologists,
surgeons, radiographers, nursing staff and other members of a multidisciplinary
team with particular emphasis on the assessment and management of patient
results. Provides leadership, orientation, training, supervision and education,
where relevant, for doctors in training, Health Service Medical Practitioners
and other health workers. In collaboration with the Head of Department and
other Consultants works to achieve national, State and EMHS performance
standards and targets. Works within the Scope of Clinical Practice as defined
and recommended by the EMHS Area Medical Credentialing Committee.

This is a Fixed Term Part Time
appointment for 12 months at 40 hours per fortnight.
