Wonthaggi Medical
Group consists of three purpose built accredited practices on the Bass Coast in
Wonthaggi, Inverloch and on Phillip Island at Newhaven.
The clinic is owned by hands-on local GPs
alongside an excellent group of GPs with a diverse range of interests and
clinical skills, and with a focus on a collegiate and supportive culture.
This culture will allow you to expand your own
skills and you would be well supported in expanding your clinical services to
include advanced skin cancer practice, IUD insertions, joint injections and
other procedures. We are a long time teaching practice and there would be the
opportunity to be part of our generously remunerated teaching program.
We have visiting medical specialists who consult
from our rooms, with the ability to form close referral networks and seek
advice. There is onsite Pathology at every site, with Radiology at the
Wonthaggi Clinic.
We have a culture of continuous improvement and
innovation, using Best Practice, HotDoc, Cubico, Dermengine and AI software.
The Bass Coast is a rapidly growing area, with
ever expanding services and many natural attractions. There are excellent private
and Catholic educational options at both school levels. The community is
extremely supportive of local medical services, and as a local GP, you will
feel valued and respected. The area is serviced by Bass Coast Health, with a
diverse range of visiting local specialists and a FACEM staffed ED in
Wonthaggi. There is no requirement for any hospital work.
You will walk in to full books from day one; we offer
a competitive management fee, and as MM4 and MM5 locations, the bulk billing
incentive is significantly more generous than a metropolitan clinic. The rural incentive payment also significantly
increases your income.
