Sarina Hospital has opportunity for a
GP/RG Medical Lead to join their
team on a Permanent Full-Time / Part-Time basis.
Mackay Hospital and Health Service Sarina Hospital is located 40kms
south of Mackay and provides admitted and non-admitted services, 24-hour ED,
Outpatients and Community Services.
Your role:
- To
ensure a high quality of clinical practice at Sarina Hospital through active
involvement in Morbidity and Mortality review, Clinical Governance meetings,
meet Discharge summary KPI’s, other clinical indicators.
- Participation
in peer review, clinical audits, the use of standard treatment protocols and
guidelines, and electronic information systems.
- Develop
and maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders in
the health service delivery at Sarina.
- Demonstrated
ability to provide supervision and support to the other Senior Medical Officers
and junior medical staff and actively participate in the on-call and after
hour’s roster for the hospital.

Conduct
ward round for inpatients and attend outpatients daily embracing a cohesive
partnership with other Medical Officers and the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct
investigations and prepare reports and other documentation including those
concerned with complaints by patients, clinical incidents and other relevant
practices.
