headspace is Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation supporting young Australians aged 12–25. The multidisciplinary team includes Clinical Psychologists, General Practitioners, Psychiatrists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Mental Health Nurses, Researchers, and administrative staff, all working collaboratively to deliver holistic care.
- Conduct high-standard assessments for young people aged 12–25 experiencing physical and mental health issues
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Create Mental Health Care Plans for referrals to psychiatrists, allied health services and Internal services
- Basic mental health knowledge and understanding of mental health care planning processes is required
- Deliver high-quality primary health care services to those accessing headspace
- Address medical concerns including history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral as appropriate
- Promote engagement with sexual health, substance use services, and preventative care
Opportunity to work within the Brain and Mind Centre at the University of Sydney
Flexible working hours/days (0.2-0.4 FTE) – Mon, Tues, Wed or Friday.
Independent contractor (hourly rate provided), contracted for 1 year with potential for ongoing
Access to professional development and training on a range of topics.
Includes paid participation in regular clinical review with a multidisciplinary team including psychologists, social workers, allied health professionals, psychiatrists, and other specialists.

Requirements: Current registration with AHPRANSW Medical Registration, Professional Indemnity Insurance, Eligibility to provide services under Medicare and willingness to Bulk Bill, Current Working With Children Check (WWCC), Criminal Record Check, Commitment to youth-focused primary health care
