Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation – VR GP Locum (Wilcannia)
Maari Ma is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal communities across Western and Far West NSW. We are seeking a VR General Practitioner for a clinic-only locum role at Wilcannia Health and Wellbeing Centre, ideally suited to a GP with experience in Aboriginal Health and/or regional and remote practice.
Available dates are Monday 15 June – Friday 26 June and Monday 6 July – Friday 17 July, at a rate of $2,000 per day (ABN).
Essential requirements include Specialist AHPRA registration as a GP, with experience in Aboriginal and/or remote health highly regarded. A current NSW Working With Children Check and National Police Check are required.
What we offer includes self-contained accommodation located approximately 100 metres from the clinic, a vehicle for use during placement, return flights to Broken Hill (capped at $1,300), and a vehicle from the airport for travel to Wilcannia (~200km).
The Wilcannia Health Service team includes a Nurse Manager, three Registered Nurses, Aboriginal Health Practitioners, and a Receptionist.
Wilcannia is a historic river town on Barkindji Country with a strong cultural heritage and resilient Aboriginal community.
