Medical Officer - Primary Health Care

Our bases: Charleville - Live in or FIFO/ Mount Isa - Live in or FIFO/ Cairns - Live in only

We offer flexible full-time & part-time roster options to fit your lifestyle. Choose from: Full-time: 16 shifts/month Fractional: e.g. week-on/week-off, or one week every four weeks FIFO travel days included as paid time The PHC team works Monday to Friday, day shifts only.

Requirements:

  • Current AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner Fellowship with RACGP or ACRRM (Senior Registrars welcome to apply)
  • 5–7 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Sound primary health and emergency care knowledge
  • Experience in rural/remote medicine and cultural competence with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

Appointments require a pre-employment medical (including drug and alcohol testing), a valid Australian driver’s licence, the ability to obtain an ASIC card & compliance with RFDS and Queensland Health credentialing  & VPD requirements.
