About the role:

This position provides safe, efficient, and high-quality medical services to inpatients and outpatients at the Mount Morgan Multi-Purpose Health Service within a multidisciplinary team. The role includes Private Practice at the co-located MSPP surgery, participation in 24-hour emergency department coverage, and maintaining clinical skills and professional development. The Medical Officer may also provide services at other Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service facilities as required.

About you:

Applicants must hold MBBS or equivalent and be eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA), with current ACLS, APLS and EMST certification. Postgraduate emergency experience is highly desirable. Fellowship qualifications such as FRACGP or FACRRM are highly regarded but not mandatory. Enrolment or acceptance into a GP training program that enables access to a provider number and Medicare benefits for private practice is required.

What we offer:

Total remuneration value of $311,729 p.a. is comprised of:

• A salary rate between $187,569 - $199,273 p.a. (MOR1-1 to MOR 1-3)

• 12.75% employer superannuation contribution

• 17.5% leave loading
