Tarneit Family Medical and Dental Centre is seeking a confident and organised Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our busy GP clinic. Previous experience in general practice management is ESSENTIAL.
This hands-on leadership role involves overseeing clinic operations, supporting doctors and staff, and ensuring high standards of patient care, compliance, and operational efficiency. Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily administrative and operational functions of the practice
- Manage staff supervision, rostering, workflow coordination, and resource planning
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and patient care
- Support doctors and clinical staff with operational requirements
- Manage patient inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
- Assist with financial processes, billing oversight, and basic budgeting
- Lead and mentor the administration team while fostering a positive workplace culture
- Contribute to practice growth and continuous improvement initiative
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in medical practice management
- Previous management experience specifically within GP or family practice clinics
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Experience in financial management, HR, and operational efficiency
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations and best practices
- Proficiency with Best Practice software is mandatory
- Passion for delivering exceptional patient care
