Rehabilitation Medicine Registrar - Doctors in Training Recruitment Campaign 2027

The Royal Hobart Hospital invites suitable applicants to apply for training within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Duties
The Registrar is responsible for the day to day management of inpatients and outpatients and provides afterhours emergency cover on a rostered on-call basis.

Rehabilitation Medicine is a recognised physician speciality with a dedicated 4-year training program overseen by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. The Royal Hobart Hospital is an accredited training site with four accredited training positions.

Rehabilitation inpatient wards are located at –

·      90 Davey Street, Hobart &

·      30 Cascade Road, South Hobart 

Registrars can anticipate rotating through these clinical sites during their period of employment.

Salary
$134,930 - $189,005 per annum

Medical Practitioner Level 5-11 (Registrar/Senior Registrar)

Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022Medical Practitioners (Tasmanian State Service) Award

Period of Employment
Fixed term, full time day work, 76 hours per fortnight, plus 10 hours protected training time pro rata, commencing 1 February 2027 until 7 February 2028.

Essential Requirements
·      General or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia. 
·      Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration (where applicable and as determined by individual position requirements).
