Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist
inpatient and outpatient services including Emergency, General Medicine and
Surgery, basic Orthopaedic, Clinical Investigation, Obstetrics, Maternity,
Gynaecology, High Dependency and Coronary Care, Palliative care, Medical
Imaging, Pathology, Paediatrics and many more additional services.
About the role:
The Senior
Medical Officer (SMO) will provide safe, high quality anaesthetic clinical
services to Gladstone Hospital with a commitment to patient safety and
continuous service improvement and assists in the professional development and
support of medical students and clinicians as required.
About you:
- Bachelor
of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for
registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- While
not mandatory, the following qualifications would be well regarded:
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of
General Practitioners (FRACGP) and/or
- Fellowship
of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or
- Evidence
of acceptance as an Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine
(ACRRM) or Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP)
trainee.

Salary information:
Total
remuneration value of up to $458,574 p.a. is comprised of:
- A salary rate between $182,106 - $187,801 p.a.
(L13-L14)
- A salary rate between $182,106 - $210,332 p.a.
(L13-L18)
- A salary rate between $210,332 - $251,527 p.a.
(L18-L25)
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
