Still Practising 20-Minute Medicine in a 15-Minute World?

Your thoroughness isn’t inefficiency. It’s the reason your patients trust you.

Perhaps you have been made to feel that taking time with patients is an operational problem.  That exploring complexity, considering the whole patient and finishing the consultation properly somehow makes you too slow.

At Walker Street Doctors, 20-minute appointments are standard because excellent General Practice requires time to think.

Our systems are designed to protect that time rather than progressively erode it.   We measure efficiency, but we don’t confuse efficiency with haste.   Our aim is a calm, well-run consulting day in which patients feel heard, doctors remain intellectually engaged and appointments run as close to time as possible.  We are looking for an established local GP with a loyal following who already practises this way and would like their workplace to finally align with their clinical standards.

You don’t need to become a different doctor to succeed here.  The doctor your patients already value is precisely the doctor we want to meet.
