The Opportunity
Amplar Health Online Doctor is a Virtual GP service supporting over 250,000 overseas students and more than 4 million members. Amplar Health has prioritised quality and safety in developing this service. While most presentations are acute and episodic, we are seeking Specialist GPs who are passionate about delivering comprehensive, patient-focused care virtually, rather than transactional telehealth. As a key member of this growing service, you will provide high-quality virtual care via phone and video to a diverse patient population across Australia.
- This is a privately billed service (no Medicare requirements), allowing you to focus on excellent clinical care and patient satisfaction.
- You will be comfortable consulting virtually and managing patients from varied backgrounds, including those for whom English is not a first language.
- A minimum commitment of two 4-hour shifts per week is required.
- Current availability includes Monday to Friday, 8am to midnight, with some weekend shifts available.
We offer flexibility to support other clinical work, family and caring commitments (including returning from parental leave), and GPs transitioning toward retirement or preferring episodic care. Engagement is initially on a contractor basis, with competitive hourly rates and strong clinical support from our Principal GPs and experienced Practice Manager.
About You
- You are a Specialist GP with full AHPRA registration and FRACGP or FACRRM, ideally with fluency in languages other than English.
- You are confident delivering high-quality care virtually and committed to achieving the best outcomes for your patients.
