VR General Practitioner | Veteran Healthcare | $250/hr Guarantee or 80% Billings | Townsville

This unique opportunity allows you to become the primary GP for an established Veteran patient cohort, delivering continuity of care through chronic disease management, preventative healthcare, acute presentations, care planning, and coordination of specialist and allied health services.

- Remuneration - $250 per hour guarantee OR 80% of billings (whichever is higher)
- Monday to Friday standard hours, no nights or weekends
Scope of Practice
- General medical consultations
- Chronic disease management
- Preventative healthcare and health assessments
- Acute and reactive medical care
- Prescriptions and medication management
- Coordinated Veteran Care Plans (CVC)
- Referrals to specialists, allied health providers and Veteran support services
- Care coordination to support Veterans in accessing eligible services and supports
Requirements
- Current Specialist Registration with AHPRA
- Available to work a minimum of 2 days per week in clinic
- Interest or experience working with Veteran patients
- Medicinal Cannabis Authorised Prescriber (MC AP) status is desirable but not essential. Training and accreditation support can be provided for interested practitioners.
