Please read carefully before applying

 This role is open to:

  • GPs with Specialist AHPRA registration (FRACGP/FACRRM/ESP), or
  • PEP Specialist Stream applicants who have completed their RACGP equivalency assessment, or
  • ESP GPs from the UK, Ireland or New Zealand

Applications from GPs who have not yet commenced or progressed on a recognised specialist pathway will not be considered.

The Opportunity

An established, well regarded general practice on Tasmania's south-east coast is seeking an additional VR GP to join its long-tenured clinical team.

The practice offers full-scope general practice in a friendly, local environment in a growing part of Tasmania, alongside a sophisticated on-site Skin Cancer Clinic.

The role offers meaningful upside through incentive loadings and rural program eligibility, alongside the lifestyle benefits of Tasmania's south-east.

Highlights

  • Sophisticated Skin Cancer Clinic with full diagnostic and procedural capability
  • Full-scope treatment room: minor procedures, iron infusions, IV fluids, cryotherapy, suturing and more
  • Long-tenured clinical and nursing team
  • Full-time, part-time, and flexible rosters
  • MMM2 loadings and rural incentive eligibility

Why Sorell?

Sorell sits on Tasmania's south-east coast, 25 minutes from Hobart and at the gateway to the Tasman Peninsula. Beaches, vineyards, and national parks are on the doorstep; Hobart's restaurants, galleries, and airport are a short drive away. A genuine tree-change option with metropolitan amenity close at hand, and none of the isolation of deeper rural practice.

For GPs relocating with family, the region offers strong schools, an affordable housing market relative to the mainland, and a pace of life that's hard to replicate elsewhere.
