Expressions of Interest are
invited from Melbourne based GPs experienced in women’s health to join the
Epworth Freemasons Breast Clinic (East Melbourne). This is a rare opportunity
to join a tight knit team, initially in a locum/casual capacity covering leave
gaps, with a view to a permanent shift/shifts as one of our long-term GPs
retires towards end of 2026.
About the Epworth Freemasons Breast Clinic:
We are a
specialised breast screening service, offering same day answers about breast
health. A patient visit begins with a consultation/physical exam with a
dedicated female GP (including advice on breast self-examination & care).
Patients undergo same-day diagnostic imaging which the GP interprets &
explains. The patient is referred to a breast specialist for a same day
consultation (if needed). GPs are employed as contractors, with a percentage of
billings retained as payment. Seeking a GP to commence shadow shifts & leave
cover (Oct – Dec). Business days are Mon – Fri (8am – 2pm).
About You:
- Experienced
in women’s health matters/breast related concerns; tech savvy and able to
navigate viewing reports/images and interpret & explain to patients
- Friendly,
approachable nature able to work and communicate with all tiers of the
community and stakeholders; appropriately accredited; experience working in a
private clinic/hospital setting desirable
