Are you supervising an ADF Registrar? Well, this is for you!

The Education and Policy guidance team have released the new ADF Guide. This cohort-specific guide is designed for AGPT registrars who work in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and is a companion document to the AGPT registrar training handbook.

The guide is a centralised point of ADF-specific information covering training program requirements, leave, transfers and extension of program time while awaiting Fellowship; it also includes an appendix of RACGP-approved ADF medical courses.

The guide has been embedded into the AGPT Registrar Training Handbook and supersedes the Registrars in the Australian Defence Force guidance document.

Enrolments Now Open for 2023.2 Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and Key Feature Problem (KFP) exams

The 2023.2 AKT will be held on Friday 7 July 2023. The 2023.2 KFP will be held on Saturday 8 July 2023.

For more details, please see the RACGP Exam enrolment page. Registrars can check their eligibility under the Fellowship Exams Policy before enrolling.

Final date for Enrolments - 11.59pm (AEST) on Tuesday 2 May 2023.

Supervisor CPD payments

Payments are being made directly from the RACGP and are only for those accredited Supervisors who are currently (RACGP Term 1, 2023) training a registrar in the AGPT program.

Supervisor	Details	Payment
Primary	A primary supervisor is the one who is assigned to the registrar’s placement in the TMS. This supervisor takes ultimate responsibility for the registrars professional and educational progress during their placement with the practice.	4 hours CPD at $150/hr totalling $600 Payment scheduled asap
Secondary	A secondary supervisor is an accredited supervisor in a practice with an active registrar, that is not attached to a registrar in the TMS. Accredited secondary supervisors play a supporting role to the primary supervisor for a registrar in the practice.	2 hours CPD at $150/hr totalling $300 Payments to be processed following the completion of primary supervisor payments.

Note: Payments have commenced and will continue to be processed as efficiently as possible.

Please note these payments are separate to the payments for practice support and teaching that are being paid directly by Services Australia.
