Placements Calendar - Term 2

The 2023.2 practice placement dates are now confirmed. The practice confirmation and placement process commences several months prior to the start of the term to ensure the RACGP can support registrar placements in your practice.

All supervisors/practices are required to complete the practice placement confirmation survey. Practices or registrars who confirm their existing placements for 2023.2, will be excluded from the remainder of the placement process. Practices or registrars who identify they have capacity for a registrar in 2023.2 will continue through the placement process. Please note that indicating you have capacity does not guarantee a registrar placement for 2023.2.

All placement activities will take place via the Training Management System (TMS). We will provide information on what will need to be completed and share ‘how to’ videos in the lead up to each activity deadline.

For reference, GPSN has a templated Interim GP Registrar Employment Contract available for use.

20 April 2023	Final training capacity and registrar region allocation confirmed for those participating in the placement process

12 June 2023	Medicare Provider Number deadline
