Registrar Assessment of Placement Form – due end of 2023.1

The Assessment of Placement (AoP) form provides you with an opportunity to provide feedback on the practice you’re currently working at, and its learning environment including the supervision, teaching, patient demographics, facilities etc. We encourage you to discuss your feedback directly with your supervisor and the practice prior to submitting the form.  

To access the Assessment of Placement form, go to the Requirements tab in your portfolio in the TMS if you are currently in a GP training term. Please contact your training team if you have any issues accessing the form for completion.

End of term appraisal

Between the 17th of July and 6th of August 2023 (all states have varying commencement and due by dates relevant to their semester dates), your supervisor will complete the end of term appraisal with you. This is an opportunity for you to obtain feedback from your supervisor on your performance and progress.

Did you know …?  Updates to the Therapeutic Guidelines

Therapeutic Guidelines Ltd have updated their freely available antibiotic prescribing in primary care summary table to include alternatives to first-line antibiotics for use in shortage situations.

This information was developed by our Antibiotic Primary Care Expert Group, requested by the Department of Health and Aged Care to provide guidance to help primary care clinicians navigate the current situation of multiple shortages of first-line antibiotics, such as amoxicillin, cefalexin and trimethoprim.

Note: All the registrars can access the Therapeutic Guidelines via TMS under quick links and subscriptions. More on support for primary care providers regarding antibiotic medicine shortages.
