2023 will see the return of GP Training to the RACGP as we begin our contract with the Department of Health for the delivery of the Australian General Practice Training Program nationally. Whilst we are excited by this significant milestone, we are also aware of the responsibility we now have to our Registrars, Supervisors, Training Practices and communities. We’ve been preparing within the college to welcome registrars from 1 February. The term dates for registrars vary nationally to align with hospital terms in each state. For 2023 the GP training term dates are:

The 2023 AGPT Registrar Education Calendars for each state and region have been developed in conjunction with the RTOs and are now available.

Nationally Consistent Payments

In order to ensure Registrars receive their support payments through Services Australia, you will need to provide your bank details on PRODA/ HPOS. Read the Department of Health and Ageing instructions here.
