Training documents are now available in the TMS!

The Forms, Documents and Links function on the Training Management System (TMS) is now active. Located in the top toolbar of the TMS (next to the Quick Links and Subscriptions button), the Forms Documents and Links button navigates you to a search engine in the TMS. We encourage you to jump in and have a look using the search bar.  

Once you’re there, you’ll find AGPT training information and forms all in one place. We’ll continue to upload documents here regularly so that all relevant content is easy for you to find. The latest document versions will be available through Forms Documents and Links. We recommend using this source rather than a saved file which may be out of date.

Can’t find what you’re looking for? 
Please reach out to your training coordinator, the document may not be available on the TMS yet or you may need to have a prior step (such as a conversation or meeting specific criteria) before you can access a form. 

End of semester evaluation 2023.2

You will have received, or will shortly receive, an email from the RACGP Evaluation Team via Qualtrics asking you to complete an end of semester evaluation for 2023.2. All results are de-identified and will help inform the continuous improvement of the AGPT Program.  

This evaluation is different to the TMS assessment - we kindly ask that you complete both activities. We greatly appreciate your participation.

Check your eligibility for Flexible Funds payments

The new Flexible Funds policy offers financial support for registrars undertaking incentivised placements in prioritised workforce locations. This funding is in addition to the nationally consistent payments (NCP) made through Services Australia, and is intended to help offset the cost of relocation to train in an area of workforce need.  

Depending on your placement location, you may be eligible for this additional funding. Please take a look at the new Flexible Funds policy and the registrar financial support guidelines for incentivised payments, or reach out to your training coordinator for more information. Details on how to claim the funds will be shared with you in the coming weeks. 

Every Doctor, Every Setting: A National Framework to support your health and wellbeing

Signing up for the Framework was one of the key actions from the GP in Training Wellbeing Committee, established in late 2023. 

We've signed up to the Every Doctor, Every Setting National Framework which positions the mental health and wellbeing of the medical profession as a national priority. The National Framework is based on available evidence and advice from doctors, doctors-in-training, medical students, mental health and suicide prevention experts and other key stakeholders. 

Signing up for the Framework was one of the key actions from the GP in Training Wellbeing Committee, established in late 2023.  

“Having the RACGP sign up to the Framework is an important step for the College to be leaders in the mental health and wellbeing of doctors in training” says Dr Vanessa Moran, Chair of the GP in Training Wellbeing Committee and National Deputy Director of Training. 

“The Committee was encouraged by the 2023 National Training Survey results which put GP trainee's perceptions about wellbeing in a better position than the national average. However, we still have a long way to go to improve racism, bullying and harassment in GP Training, which in turn will improve registrar wellbeing,” Vanessa said. 

The Wellbeing Committee has been working on prioritising recommendations for the GP training teams which align with the Framework and registrars, supervisors and practices will see developments in this space in 2024 and beyond.

GPRA launches NT registrar scholarship opportunity

Applications for the General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA) Northern Territory scholarships have now opened for current and prospective NT-based registrars. 

The scholarships include: 

• Dr Debbie Stach GP Registrar of the Year Scholarship 

• Ada Wilmadda Parry Aboriginal Health Scholarship 

• Professor Alan Walker Paediatric Scholarship 

• GPRA Northern Territory Rural and Remote Scholarship. 

Applications for all scholarships will close on 28 March 2024.
