‘As a non-clinician researcher, it really is an honour,’ he told Good Practice. ‘This award makes me feel like I am part of the club.’

Dr Harrison has been heavily involved in general practice research for 15 years, having worked as a senior analyst on the Bettering the Evaluation and Care of Health (BEACH).

Dr Harrison has published almost 100 journal articles, contributed to 23 books and delivered close to 60 conference presentations, including GP17, on the results of his research.
