In Practice: My Health Record education kit
The RACGP’s updated self-directed learning activity is designed to help GPs better understand MHR and their own legal obligations.
The RACGP’s recently updated My Health Record education kit is a self-directed learning activity for GPs and their practice teams.
This week’s In Practice also includes information on the upcoming intake for the Certificate of Postgraduate Training in Clinical Psychiatry, the Bladder and Kidney Health Symposium, and a webinar about identifying and responding to the needs of adult survivors of childhood trauma.
My Health Record resources: Education kit and annual health check
General practices are legislatively obligated to provide My Health Record training to staff members before they are authorised to access My Health Record.
The RACGP’s recently updated education kit is a self-directed learning activity for GPs and other relevant practice team members, designed to familiarise users with:
- how to use the My Health Record system accurately and responsibly
- the legal obligations on healthcare provider organisations and individuals using My Health Record
- the consequences of breaching those obligations.
The updated toolkit is available on the
RACGP website.
The Australian Digital Health Agency has also released guidance on conducting an
annual My Health Record health check for registered healthcare provider organisations to help ensure practices comply with relevant legislative obligations and can be contacted by the System Operator when required.
