Error accessing electronic prescriptions via SMS
The Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA) has been made aware that some patients are experiencing errors when trying to access electronic prescriptions via SMS. Errors have been occurring when patients click on the electronic prescription link in the SMS message and may automatically open using a preferred app.

Instructions for how to assist patients when they encounter an error are available on the ADHA’s website for both IOS and Android.

More information is available on the ADHA’s website

Viral Hepatitis Mapping Project report launch
Webinar: Wednesday 9 April, 1.00 – 2.15 pm (AEST)

The Viral Hepatitis Mapping Project aims to improve understanding of chronic hepatitis B and C in Australia by examining regional variations in prevalence and care uptake.

The latest national reports of the project are being launched, exploring insights and trends from the latest national data on chronic hepatitis B and hepatitis C in Australia, including:

  • data and analysis on chronic hepatitis C treatment uptake
  • chronic hepatitis B diagnosis, care and treatment
  • Australian estimates of the hepatitis B cascade of care according to priority population – released for the first time.
By identifying areas with high prevalence or low treatment uptake, the project helps prioritise interventions and improve service delivery where it’s most needed.

Attendees will have an overview of the outcomes of the report, new data, and what this means for progress towards the elimination of viral hepatitis in Australia.

Funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care, the project is a joint initiative of the WHO Collaborating Centre for Viral Hepatitis at the Doherty Institute and ASHM.
