GPs recognised on the 2019 Australia Day Honours List

GPs from all over the country were recognised for their contributions to their patients, communities and profession.

This year’s GPs were also recognised for their work outside of the consulting room.

‘I congratulate all of the GPs honoured on Australia Day,’ RACGP President Dr Harry Nespolon told newsGP. ‘Their inclusion in the 2019 Australia Day honours is the culmination of decades of support for their patients and communities.
 
‘Each of these doctors represents the best of Australian healthcare and is the perfect example of the positive impact specialist GPs have on our community.’
