An upcoming webinar will cover everything GPs need to know about the recently tripled Medicare bulk billing incentive payments.
The RACGP will be hosting a webinar presented by the Department of Health and Aged Care on last year’s changes to bulk billing incentive payments.
This week’s In Practice is focused on an upcoming educational online event members can attend to discover more about Medicare bulk billing incentive (BBI) payments.

Webinar: Wednesday 24 April, 7.00 pm – 8.00 pm (AEST)
Last November, tripled Medicare BBI payments were introduced for select patients and services provided in general practice.
The RACGP will be hosting a webinar presented by the Department of Health and Aged Care (DoHAC) on this topic, which will cover:
- general eligibility for BBIs and monitoring this for patients
- standard BBIs (pre-existing items)
- tripled BBI item numbers by level of remoteness and eligible services
- eligibility scenarios for the new tripled BBIs
- where to find further information.
