Electronic prescribing on-demand webinar
Electronic prescribing has become a popular alternative to standard paper prescribing and is now available across most parts of Australia.
The RACGP recently released an on-demand webinar on the latest electronic prescribing updates so GPs can learn how electronic prescriptions can be managed via tokens and the active script list.
This webinar is accredited for one CPD educational activity hour and was developed in collaboration with the Australian Digital Health Agency. Further information is available on the RACGP’s electronic prescribing webpage.

Measuring outcomes for transgender and gender-diverse healthcare
Webinar: Tuesday 3 September, 7.00 – 8.00 pm (AEST)
CPD: 1 EA hour
RACGP Specific Interests invites members to join the latest webinar in the ‘Measuring your outcomes’ series to gain Measuring Outcomes (MO) CPD hours.
Dr Michelle Dutton, Chair of RACGP Specific Interests Transgender and Gender Diverse Healthcare, will talk through simple and practical quality improvements GPs can implement. She will discuss small but effective MO activities relating to safe referral pathways for transgender and gender-diverse patients, gender inclusive practice, informed consent prescribing, and more.
Whether transgender and gender-diverse patients make up a little or large amount of their patient cohort, GPs are encouraged to learn how to better support these patients while meeting CPD requirements.

Focussed Psychological Strategies incentive
The GPMHSC is offering GPs a $600 reimbursement that covers part of the cost of completing accredited
Focussed Psychological Strategies Skills Training (FPS ST).
FPS are specific mental health care treatment strategies, derived from evidence-based psychological therapies. They include cognitive behavioural therapy, interpersonal therapy, psychoeducation and relaxation strategies. GPs skilled in FPS are better equipped to manage and support individuals experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
The delivery of FPS by GPs, particularly in rural and remote locations, gives people access to affordable and cost-effective psychological interventions where there’s a shortage or lack of psychologists and psychiatrists.
Eligible GPs will be reimbursed $600 once they complete the requirements for FPS ST and
register as GP providers of FPS with Services Australia. For more information contact the GPMHSC Secretariat at
