  • drug–drug (including herbal)
  • drug–tobacco
  • drug–food
  • drug–alcohol
  • drug–pregnancy and lactation.
The tool presents both brief and detailed summaries of drug interactions that are referenced, and enables the user to:

  • view results by severity and type of drug interaction
  • search by brand and generic names of drugs
  • check an unlimited number of drugs and/or substances at once
  • understand the interaction severity using the five-point severity rating
  • interpret quality and type of interaction evidence with a four-level documentation rating system.
GPs can access DynaMed and find the drug interactions tool in the top ribbon, along with other evidence-based information to inform their clinical practice. DynaMed is a member-only resource (login to the RACGP website is required).

GPMHSC resources
GPs are being reminded of the multitude of clinical resources available through the General Practice Mental Health Standards Collaboration (GPMHSC).

This in includes Eating Disorder Plan templates, the Mental health training standards 2023–25: A guide for GPs, the trauma-informed care resource hub, and GP Mental Health Treatment Plan templates.

The Focussed Psychological Strategies (FPS) mentorship program also provides an opportunity for experienced GP providers of FPS (mentors) to guide and support newly trained GPs (mentees) towards becoming skilled FPS providers.

The GPMHSC also developed the suicide prevention and first aid resource to support GPs, as well as after suicide – a resource designed to help GPs respond to suicide in their communities.

Other available resources includes information on communication between medical and mental health professionals, telepartnerships in mental health, working with the stepped care model, frequently asked questions about mental health education and training and the MBS, as well as external resources for GPs.
