State and territory winners of the 2022 RACGP Awards have been announced, with more than 20 recipients honoured for ‘outstanding’ work on the healthcare front line.

And with general practice coming under increasing pressure, RACGP President Adjunct Professor Karen Price told newsGP it is ‘more important than ever’ to acknowledge the invaluable contribution carried out by recipients over the past 12 months.

‘The winners represent the some of the best and brightest general practice has to offer, and I’d like to thank and congratulate them for their inspiring efforts,’ she said.

‘These awards give us cause to reflect on the amazing contribution GPs continue to make within communities all over Australia, and how fortunate we are to be given the chance to have such an impact on people’s lives.’
